Fun Facts: French opaline glassware, which was hand-blown opaque (or semi-translucent when held to light) colored glass popularized in France from the 1820s onward. The vibrant "ocean" or turquoise blue, thick/heavy feel (common in authentic pieces), simple hemispherical shape, and glossy finish are classic hallmarks. Many similar bowls were used for serving, trinkets, or decoration.
