This beautiful tea cup and saucer set is made by United China and Glass Company during 1947 in occupied Japan, after WW2. Under the command of General Douglas MacArthur, all factories were required to print “occupied Japan” or “made in occupied Japan” between 1945 and 1952. This set is hand painted in green with white hearts outlined in gold. Tiny pink rosebuds are located at the center of the heart along with little blue leaves around the pink rose. The design also incorporates gold filigree to make this piece really stand out. Tea cup has gold painted handle. 

Cup holds about 4 ounces in fluid, measures 2.5 inches in height and almost 3 inches wide. Saucer plate has a 4.75 inch diameter This item is considered antique and has some imperfects, but what doesn’t show some imperfections by 78 years old.
