Vintage Chinese Pewter Decorative Plate with Brass Etched Inlay of a Peony Flower and Leaves

Rare Chinese pewter motif decorative dish with brass etched inlay of an intricate peony flower with leaves and branch like vines. This pedestal style decorative plate has a scalloped edge and a brass dipped rim. Plate is stamped CHINA on the back, which was common on Chinese export metalware from the early to mid-20th century, circa 1900-1950. Style draws from traditional Chinese metalworking techniques where brass in inlaid into soft pewter for decorative contrast.
