Vintage 1947 Tom Thumb Tin Toy Cash Register – Charming Retro Collectible! Step back in time with this authentic maroon red metal cash register from Western Stamping Co., perfect for collectors, vintage decor enthusiasts, or nostalgic play. Produced by the Western Stamping Company in Jackson, Michigan and first introduced in 1945 and remained popular through the 1970s. Features include nine mechanical keys with cream and red knobs that pop up classic display tabs (like 'NO SALE' and amounts up to $1), a functional cash drawer that springs open with a delightful bell ring, and sturdy tin construction made in the USA. Shows honest patina from age, including light rust and wear, adding to its character. A fun piece of mid-century toy history ready for your shelf or collection.

Measurements: 7.5 inches in height and 7 inches in length.
The plastic covering for the register window is cracked on a slant in right corner, please see photos.

Fun Facts: These were affordable, mass-produced toys aimed at children for pretend grocery store or shop play. They're made of lithographed tinplate for durability, with mechanical features like spring-loaded keys that trigger the display tabs to pop up, a cash drawer that opens automatically, and a built-in bell that rings on transactions. They came in various colors over the years, including red, blue, green, and rarer pink. No batteries or electronics—just pure mechanical fun.
